Travel Directions:

The postcode for the Coast & Country Cottages office (Key Collection) is TQ6 9NF, the address is Coast and Country Cottages, De Courcey House, Mayor's Avenue, Dartmouth

From London/Midlands follow M5 to Exeter, then A38 dual carriageway towards Plymouth. (Please note that some sat nav systems tell you to head for Torquay, this way will take you to Dartmouth but via the car ferry from Kingswear to Dartmouth. There is a charge for this ferry. These ferries do become busy during peak season and rush hour. There could be a waiting time of at least an hour.)

Continue on the A38 for some time. Take the exit slip road on the A38 signposted BUCKFASTLEIGH. Turn left at this slip road. Continue on this road the A381 following signs for Dartmouth. Follow the signs for Totnes/Dartmouth. This road will lead you through the village of Dartington, and onto Totnes. At the traffic lights in Totnes, turn right onto the A381, following signs for Kingsbridge / Dartmouth / Salcombe. This will lead you uphill away from Totnes and straight on through more traffic lights. Continue uphill away from Totnes. You will continue through a village called Harbertonford and then Halwell. When you come out of Halwell, you will go through a series of bends. As you come out of these you will see a BP petrol station on your left with a left turn immediately after signposted to Dartmouth - take this turn! Follow this road for approx three miles, going past a pub called the Forces Tavern on your left and after that Woodlands Leisure Park on your right. A little further on from Woodlands, you will see a sign for Dartmouth Golf and Country Club on your left. Continue on for approx three miles when you will enter Dartmouth.

Once you come in to the town of Dartmouth you will see SAINSBURYS on your left, continue straight ahead, when you reach the mini roundabout take the second exit, passing LIDLS and BP GARAGE on your right. Continue on this road until you reach another mini round about; take the first exit marked town centre down the hill. Follow the main road; you will go down a steep hill with THE NAVAL COLLEGE on your left. Stay in the left hand lane and follow the road around to the right (crossing the queue for the ferry) follow the road along the seafront until you see THE PLATFORM ONE RESTAURANT on your left. Take the right hand turning next to the little inner harbour (called the Boatfloat). Follow the one-way system past the Mayors Avenue gardens on your right. There is a small car park on the left, just past the church. You will see the Coast and Country Cottages office to the rear of this little car park. Pull in and collect the keys and care parking pass from the office.

IMPORTANT: arriving late - you must inform us if you are arriving late, outside normal office hours, as we will ensure the key and car pass is placed in the key safe at the coast and country cottages office location. There is no other way of getting into the house after hours, so it is really important you let us know if you are running late.

Directions from Coast and Country Office to Harbour Heights

Once you have collected your keys you need to follow the one way system around. Drive past Marks and Spencers foothill on your left, then you will come to a turning on your right heading back towards the town centre along side the river - take this turning. Follow the road round and straight on past the inner harbour this time.  Take the next right turn and after about 200 yards you will come to a small junction. Take the right turn down the one way street through the shops.  After 100 yards take the small left turn immediately past FULFORDS estate agents.

Continue up the hill, through a small dog leg and continue up the steep hill where the road will narrow.   Bear Left and continue up the hill which does become steeper. You will see the top of the hill as you drive up - at the top bear left onto ABOVE TOWN.

Proceed very carefully along ABOVE TOWN for about half a mile. The road is very narrow in places.  You will travel through a narrow section, which then opens a little on the right with some garages on the right.  Pass through this small section and proceed down the narrow lane.  You will pass some black railings on your left next to the footpath (down the steps to the town).  After you pass these railings proceed up the hill until you see about 4 cars parked on the right hand side of the road next to some steps.   Pull the car in here.

In order to turn around continue on up the road for about 50 yards and there is a turning space.  If there are no parking spaces we suggest you turn the car round and pull in near the steps while you unload.  Please be aware that you can only leave the car on one of the four parking spaces next to the wall, which are often taken (they are unrestricted if you are lucky enough to get one) so once you have unloaded proceed back down the way you came and park your car. See attached parking notes.

To get to the house:  Go up the steps next to the parked cars and bear to the right. You will see a row of cottages in front of you and a footpath to the left next to a wall.  Take the footpath up a few steps and follow the footpath to Harbour Heights which is the second cottage along with a grey door.
